Soup fans...pull up a napkin and spoon, and get ready to make WNY a record holder!

WKBW reports that this year's Soupfest is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for most soup served in an 8-hour period. Founder Matt Carlucci says, "I'm so proud of what this event has become. I always intended Soup-Fest to be a way to show off how Buffalonians embrace our "culture of cold." I also appreciate each of our local restaurant vendors and want to showcase both these aspects on a national and international level."

"Plus, it's just super cool to set a world record."

Soupfest has been an annual event for the past 7 years. But there's a cost associated with getting the Guinness Records folks out to every record attempt -- you can donate to the event's GoFundMe page to offset the cost; every donation of at least $5 gets two tickets to Soup-Fest on January 28th, 2018 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
