Tonight could get a little nasty when it comes to the weather.

As a massive cold front makes its way across the United States, parts of that storm will bring some heavy snow and cold winds to the area.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, it looks like up to 3 inches of snow could fall in a short amount of time in Western New York.

The winds will also pick up and we could see gusts of over 40 miles per hour. That wind will bring the wind chill temperatures across the area into the teens and even lower tonight. A wind chill advisory has been issued starting at 4 am Friday morning.

It is no surprise that on this Groundhogs Day, Punxsutawney Phil is calling for six more weeks of Winter.

The only good news is that we will see a warm-up on Sunday through early next week. We could see above-average temperatures to start next week.
