We probably just had one of the coldest and rainiest July’s in Western New York in recent memory and even though summer still has roughly seven weeks left, it’s never too early to look ahead to fall and yes, Halloween!

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family, but you still want that classic spooky Halloween feeling, then there’s a festival coming to Niagara County that sounds picture perfect.

According to their Facebook page, Hollowed Harvest is bringing its Jack-O'-Lantern festival to the Niagara County Fairgrounds this fall.

The event will run from September 24th to October 31st (Halloween) and run Thursday-Sunday every weekend.

How many Jack-O'-Lanterns will you see, though? Roughly 7,000 Jack-O-Lanterns will be featured in large displays that you can walk through, according to WKBW.

Tickets will have to be purchased ahead of time, through their website, and tickets will not be sold at the Niagara County Fairgrounds.

Haunted houses are among my favorite things to do every fall but this sounds like a blast too. It reminds me of the Festival of Lights in Hamburg, but this time, with Jack-O-Lanterns instead of trees and sleighs. The fact you’ll be able to walk through it and appreciate the sights will make it great for friends and family. This festival is meant for all ages.

Also, if you’re looking forward to fall activities and food, the Mayer Bros. Cider Mill opens for the season this Wednesday!
