News 4 Meteorologist Todd Santos tells us that Friday, while being the warmest day of the week for us, may also be the wildest. Todd takes us through Friday night:

As a warm front clears north, temperatures will rise this evening with even a few breaks in the cloud cover. Tonight into early Friday, we will see an increasing southeast wind. Winds will reach 20-30mph at times for many areas, but the strongest gusts will be found across the higher terrain south of Buffalo, and along the Erie shore (offshore wind) reaching 45-50mph into early Friday afternoon.  It will not be as windy Friday night. This wind will also usher in a surge of warmth, as temperatures get well into the 60s, even close to 70 on Friday.

Clouds thicken Friday morning in advance of a storm system that will spread rain showers into the area Friday afternoon, and evening.  There could be some heavy downpours, and even a few thunderstorms lasting into the early evening.

4 Warn Weather is watching more wind and rain coming in Sunday night.
