We lost one of our great musical talents today.  James Ingram a double Grammy winner has died at the age of 66. James was also a two time Oscar nominee, just an amazing artist.

According to Variety.com, James' Longtime friend Debbie Allen confirmed the news.  She did so on Twitter.

“I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir,” she wrote. “He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name.”

 

Ingram was nominated for 14 Grammy awards.  He finally won two, first with his lovely rendition of “One Hundred Ways” and then another for his duo performance with Michael McDonald, for “Yah Mo B There.”
