Governor Cuomo’s Longtime Girlfriend Diagnosed With Cancer

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that his live-in girlfriend and television star has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

In an interview with ABC's Good Morning Amerca, the governor divulged that 48-year-old Sandra Lee found out that she had cancer at the end of April. She received a phone call from her doctor after a photo shoot for People magazine. Sandra said that she didn't cry, but was stunned by the news.

Sandra Lee has already had a lumpectomy, and will undergo a double mastectomy this week.

Governor Cuomo released a statement this morning stating that he expects to take some personal time to care for and support Sandra as she handles the "trauma of her operation."
