Legendary singer, Glen Campbell, 79, has been moved from an Alzheimer's care facility, to his home with his wife, Kim.

Kim was interviewed by Broadway's Electric Barnyard in Hartford, CT, and says he has progressed to stage 6 out of the 7 stages of Alzheimer's. (Hear the interview here)

He has aphasia, which means he can no longer communicate verbally.  He doesn't understand what people say to him, but can apparently still say a few phrases like "I love you" and "Where you been?"

Kim says there have been moments of hostility, which is typical.  She reveals that he punched her in the eye, and that she had a black eye for 2 weeks.

The couple have been married 33 years.  She says she just intiuitvely knows what he needs, and that they just try to find joy in each day with smiles, hugs, and kisses.

If you or someone you know has ever been affected by this devastating disease, please show your support and join Team Laura at the Walk to End Alzheimer's this Saturday in Delaware Park near the Buffalo Zoo.
