Buffalo's skyline view from Canalside is changing with the addition of an enormous tricycle on top of the new Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Children's Museum building.

WIVB reports the latest developments to Canalside include approval of a $41 million dollar capital budget, and a plan to begin development of the two acre northern block of the old Aud site.

Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation president Steven Ranalli said about the giant trike, "It's a classic toy so a lot of people will see that as they drive over the Skyway or drive into the site, and again it does touch on the history of the site with the Pierce Company which was making bicycles down there long before automobiles."

The new children's museum is set to open in May.
