Get Ready For a Snowy Monday and Tuesday In WNY
There's still snow in the southern tier this weekend but for the most part, the Buffalo metro region was spared with less than an inch of snow this past Thursday...but get ready for round two early next week and it should be much more snow.
According to WGRZ Weather, widespread snow will impact Western New York this Monday and into Tuesday.
"Shovable" snow is a very real possibility, according to WGRZ's Patrick Hammer. Exact snowfall totals aren't known yet but it should be sizable enough for plows to make their rounds in Buffalo.
There will be potential for record-breaking cold next week and the timing of that cold air could impact when the snow event starts on Monday.
Lake effect snow will impact portions of Western New York on Tuesday as well. Temperatures could be 20-25 degrees below normal!
Travel could be heavily impacted on Monday and Tuesday next week, so be prepared to battle some winter driving.
