According to WKBW prices across Western New York are declining and should continue to fall over the next couple of weeks.

Western and Central New York, prices should continue to drop as refineries switch over to winter-blend fuel, which is cheaper to produce.

 

The average price of Gas in New York State is $2.229 according to AAA.

The average price today is down one penny from yesterday, down 2 cents from last week, and down 4 cents since last month.

Last year the average price of a gallon of gas in New York State was $2.699. 40 cents more than this year.

The record high for a gallon of gas in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area was $4.276 back in July of 2008.

The National average for a gallon of gas is $2.129.
