Friday the 13th Superstitions

Today is Friday the 13th - a date that terrifies millions of people!

As many as 21-million people in the United States have a paralyzing dread of Friday the 13th. Behavioral scientists who treat people for anxiety, phobias and stress say that some people won't go to work today, won't eat in restaurants, and many would never plan their wedding for Friday the 13th.

No one is exactly sure where the legend of Friday the 13th got started, but folklore experts believe that it's a combination of "Friday" and "13" that have both connected to bad luck.
