According to WGRZ, the Erie County Department of Health has a free rabies vaccination this Wednesday at the North Buffalo Community Center, located at 203 Sanders Road off of Colvin Boulevard.

“If you own a dog, indoor or outdoor cat or ferret that is due for a rabies vaccination, please plan to come to this event,” Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said.

The event goes from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. You're asked to keep your pet on a leash or harness no longer than four feet, or in a carrier. Also try to have a copy of your pet's vaccination records.

If you can't make this event, the Erie County Health Department says additional clinics will be held in the spring and fall.
