The 2nd Annual Coats of Hope kids coat giveaway, hosted by the Niagara Falls Peacemakers, will take place on Sunday, December 13 at 2 pm. During the event, organizers will be giving out 100 free coats, masks, and hand sanitizer, according to a flyer I received. The event will be held at 623 Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls. They will have kid's coats available in sizes 4T through XL. The coats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be present in order to receive a coat. Only one coat will be given to each child. The event is sponsored by Dream Homes Property Management, QJ's Pool Hall, Niagara Falls Peacemakers, and Sanquin Starks.

The 25th Annual Coats 4 Kids drive is also underway. If you cannot get a coat on Sunday, they are working with community organizations to get coats to people in need.

"Coats 4 Kids is an annual program created by Colvin Cleaners. This program allows Buffalo's favorite dry cleaner to give back to the community in a way that WNYorkers desperately need -- by giving the gift of warmth. Colvin Cleaners, along with other partners, collects winter garments from all collection locations, schools, churches and many businesses. ~ Coats 4 Kids

Families, who otherwise could not afford coats, hats, gloves, and scarves, can visit Coats 4 Kids to get in touch with one of the organizations that will receive the donations from Coats 4 Kids (due to COVID-19, distribution will be handled by community agencies).
