The rain is here and it looks like a lot of rain is coming all at once.

New York is bracing for what former Hurricane Nicole is bringing to the Empire State.

With heavy winds and lots of rain, flooding issues could happen all across the state.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York parts of the state could see up to 2 inches of rain throughout the day today and into the weekend.


With all that rain coming at once, low-lying areas and areas prone to flooding could see some issues today and through the weekend. Another big danger is near storm drains. Lots of leaves have fallen over the past couple of weeks and if they clog a storm drain, flooding could happen.  


Of course, officials also advise to never try and drive through a flood road or street. Remember the old saying "Don't Drown, Turn Around"
