Flooding Concerns in Western New York
Now that February is in the record books for being the coldest month ever in Western New York, it's nice to finally start enjoying warmer temperatures.
However, the warmer weather also creates concern for those living in flood zones around Western New York. Crews were out on Monday breaking up the ice along the Buffalo Creek, with the hopes of preventing ice jamming.
A flood watch remains in effect for parts of Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties until later this morning.
