If you know anything about me, Mark Richards, you know that I'm thrilled to be back in Western New York and once again living near Buffalo, New York. When living in Central New York I could only dream about what has happened to me over the past year. Here are my top five back home goals, accomplished.

5) Meet Celebrities.

No disrespect to the smaller markets I've worked in but, Paul McCartney doesn't do shows in Saginaw, Michigan. No I didn't meet him but I did meet: Full House Star Dave Couiler, Jackass Steve-O, DIY's Matt Blashaw and from SNL, Jay Pharoah! I also reconnected with high school pal and Goo Goo Doll, Robby Takac, which leads me to the next major accomplishment.

4) Re-connect with old friends and family members.

I now see my relatives on a regular basis and I consistently get together with friends that I have not had the opportunity to be hang with in over 20 years.

3) Move!

It took us 10 months to sell our house in Utica. Finally moving our family into a nice home in Derby, New York is a tremendous relief. This was likely the most stressful time of 2015.

2) Enjoying Concerts and Sporting Events.

Since I was a kid I wanted to be front stage for Perter Frampton performing "Do You Feel Like We Do"...accomplished! I must of have gone to a dozen concerts last year; 6 Sabres games, 3 Bills games and a couple of Bisons games. Artpark, Canalside, Darien Lake, FNC, Coca-Cola field...yeah, I'll be there in 2016.

1) Moved Dad Back Home As Well

Like me, my father has many friends and family here in Buffalo but, his dementia had him living in a memory car facility in Virginia near my brother. Now that I'm here, so is dad! While he can remember us, he's enjoying visits from loved ones. He may ask over and over which church he's at, when I say, our church, the one you ushered in for decades, he smiles. Welcome home dad...and me!
