Firework Show This Weekend in WNY

This looks like everyone is going to have just a great time this weekend!

The Winter Carnival is happening this weekend down in Ellicottville!

Winter Carnival March 13th-14th, 2021

There is a whole long list of events happening both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, there will be GOLF happening. Yes, in the snow. It is actually meant to be in the snow. It is a tournament that is meant to be fun (yeah, competitive golfers who take golf seriously would not enjoy this). On top of it, there are brownie points and prizes for 'best costumes' as well!

In addition to the live music, kids activities, cookouts and costume contests, there WILL be fireworks this year.

Plus, Eric Jones, the local snow artist that you may know for creating some iconic Buffalo Bills themed snow sculptures last season will be there. He will be making an 8 foot tall boot that you can go take pictures with. It will be located in front of the 1887 on Washington Street.

A couple of the popular attractions at Winterfest every year is the Snow Bar and the Dummy Downhill, but unfortunately, because of COVID this year neither of those things will happen.

• Ski Patrol Pancake Breakfast at Mountain Top Warming Hut
• Safety Patrol cookout at Mt. Top Warming Hut
• Lift and department decorating – the theme is Vacation!
• Professional snow sculptor – sculpture to be located next to Mardi Gras lift base terminal
• Free racing at Win-Sum Racing on Foxfire with speed check
• Mercy Flight raffle
• Mac ‘n Cheese food truck at base area
• Cookout at Yodeler Lodge by Centerplate
• Groomer display
• HP and Mt. Shop sidewalk sales

Saturday March 13

• Rangers wear costumes
• Cookout at Creekside
• Rail Jam 1:00-3:00 in Rail Park
• All guests will be encouraged to wear costumes all day, post your photo to #holidayvalley
• Scavenger Hunt
• 10:30 PM Fireworks show, base lodge area
