According to WIVB, the fireball moved from up-left to down-right looking towards Rochester.

According to the American Meteor Society, the sound was heard across central New York.

“We currently have 41 reports of this fireball.” Robert Lunsford of the American Meteor Society said. “It seems that central New York and northern Pennsylvania had cloudy skies and therefore did not see the fireball. If skies had been clear I’m certain that the trajectory would shift toward central NY, where the reports of sounds are numerous.”

One person on WIVB's Facebook comments said she saw it driving down Route 20A in Orchard Park, while another man said he saw it in Evans. Others also reported seeing the apparent fireball.

I did not see or hear anything in South Buffalo but I was inside and working on my computer at the time. The flash was seen om Toronto, too, based on this video.

Did you see or hear the fireball today?
