The New York Attorney General is looking into a possible fraud investigation involving the top two fantasy football companies.

The Attorney General sent out letters to the CEOs of Fanduel and Draftkings after reports surfaced that employees may have gained an unfair advantage to win money in the fantasy football contest.

Eric Schneiderman inquired about the situation after it came to his attention that the two companies allowed their employees to play on each others sites, and a Draftking's employee admitted that he released early data regarding which starting players were used the most in the starting lineups for the NFL's third week.

Attorney General Schneiderman is demanding the names, job titles and descriptions of all employees who work with a wide range of information that could be used to gain a personal advantage. Schneiderman is also demanding that the two companies turn over details of any internal investigations regarding their employees.

The Draftkings and Faduel have also prohibited their employees from playing in any games where money is involved.

New York State is now also taking steps to see determine whether or not this industry should be regulated, especially with millions of dollars being spent on advertising.
