Everything You Need To Know About Fairgrounds Festival Of Lights

The Fairgrounds Festival of Lights will take place all throughout December on the Hamburg Fairgrounds!

The event will be open every night from December 1st through December 31st. However,they will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

This is such an exciting time for everyone.But it can be stressful. We love to load the kids in the car and just relax and take in the Holiday Spirit while we drive through this amazing display of what looks like millions of lights!

The Festival gates are open nightly from 5:00pm-9:00pm.

The tradition of the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights is back and admission is $20 per vehicle plus applicable fees this year. According to Fairgrounds officials, there will be a limited number of tickets available for the event each night.

The drive through route will include a variety of new displays consisting of over 70 variations of LED light displays, arches and light tunnels.  Additionally, we have partnered with the Field twins, winners of the Great Christmas Light Fight, to incorporate their masterpieces into the show.  “We wanted to continue to provide a holiday event that is safe and fun for the whole family,” said Jessica Underberg, CEO of the Erie County Agricultural Society.

This year, brand new displays are featured in the newly designed route as well as the popular arches and tunnels and custom light displays. Additionally, there are several unique static displays designed by the Field Twins of Lakeview, recent winners of the Great Christmas Light Fight.

Although many things were postponed or canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights was still able to happen, in a modified form. In the past, there have been walk-through displays and things for the family to enjoy like a picture, or two, with Santa Claus. However, because of restrictions that was changed.

This is a perfect way to spend a date night or get the kids out of the house when the snow starts to fly and take in the breathtaking lights that cover a good majority of acreage on the fairgrounds and Hamburg off of S. Park Ave.
