‘Empire’ Returns! 5 Questions We Need Answered on the Spring Premiere
Fresh off a Golden Globe win for star Taraji P. Henson, Cookie and Co. return as Empire is back with its season 2 spring premiere tonight at 9 p.m. EST on FOX. Of course, there are a ton of unsolved mysteries to tackle in Lyon land. Here are five pressing questions to be resolved as the second half of the season gets underway.

Who pushed Rhonda down the stairs?
The last time we saw Andre's (Trai Beyers) pregnant wife, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) she was bleeding after being drop kicked down a flight of steps by an unknown assailant. So, #whopushedrhonda? Was it Boo Boo Kitty aka Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey), who has clearly hopped aboard the Crazy Train? This is Empire, so we know for sure it wasn't just some random intruder. This whodunit will provide enough plot twists to last until the season finale. In an interview with TV Line, Doubleday says Rhonda will confront her attacker “in a very dynamic, scary, insane, crazy way." Well, duh. Again--this is Empire.

How long will Camilla's reign last?
Camilla Marks (Naomi Campbell) snaked her way into the CEO position in the shocking finale with the help of Hakeem (Byshere Y. Gray) when he betrayed Lucious (Terrance Howard) in an oh snap! moment and voted him out of the top spot. But what's really going on with Camilla--who is now married to stockholder and board member, Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei)? And just where do her loyalties truly lie? Is she actually down for Hakeem or does she have a hidden agenda?

Will Luscious and Cookie work together to take back Empire?
The back and forth between Lucious and Cookie has provided most of Empire's spark. And now that the company is in the hands of an outsider, the two will put their differences aside and work together to regain control of the throne—but how long will their truce last? And how messy will the truce get?

What's up with Jamal?
Aside from Jamal's (Jussie Smollett) recent sexual fluidity after sleeping with Skye Summers (Alicia Keys), the real question is whether or not he's up for the battle that's about to go down between him and his daddy on the musical front. Jamal already said he thinks he's a better musician than Lucious, and the remainder of the season will offer even more opportunities for him to prove it, since they're both up for "Song of the Year" at the American Awards. Clearly, Lucious is going to play dirty on this one. Here's hoping Jamal stays focused and doesn't resort to kicking trashcans.

Is Hakeem really ready to be CEO?
After Camilla pulled a fast one on Lucious, all signs point to Hakeem taking over the throne, courtesy of Camilla. But Camilla is shady so there's no guarantee that things will go as smoothly as Hakeem seems to think. In fact, we're pretty sure this is about to be a hot mess, and Hakeem better get ready for a showdown with the family.
