These Were Spotted On The Shelves Again at Wegmans in WNY

It's that time of the year when the weather is cold in the morning and warms up to the 50's or even 60's by the afternoon. It makes for tough decisions when deciding what to wear (jeans, shorts, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.). I went with shorts and a hoodie this morning.

The weather looks pretty decent in the 7-10 day forecast for Western New York, however.

Highs will be anywhere from the mid-50's to the mid-60's for the next week or so, but you know that cold weather is coming on a consistent basis...and yes, snow too.

Halloween is on Monday and we're four weeks away from Thanksgiving, so people around Western New York are already seeing signs of the holidays on store shelves once again.

I was at Wegmans this week and noticed something I did not expect to see in the month of October.

Eggnog.

Yes, eggnog is back in stock at local grocery stores, which means the holidays, whether we want them to or not, are essentially here.

I don't really like eggnog, but my dad loves it. We always had eggnog in our home growing up, because my dad always bought it in November and December.

I've noticed Christmas lights in the Village of Hamburg and some Christmas decorations in other stores around Western New York. It's not even Halloween yet but you can bet that once November 1st comes, we will be full-on holiday mode across Buffalo and Western New York.

'Tis the season, as they say.
