On Monday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced during his daily press conference that "additional" activities would be allowed to reopen when the New York State PAUSE order expires on May 15th, regardless of whether or not a region has begun reopening, according to WIVB's Dave Greber.

Those activities include landscaping, gardening, low-risk outdoor and recreational activities (such as Tennis), as well as drive-in movie theaters.

This would mean that the Transit Drive-In would be allowed to reopen by Friday. The Transit Drive-In announced this week it would host West Seneca Central High Schools' graduation ceremonies, as well as ask NFL league permission to show Bills night games during the 2020 season.

The Transit Drive-In should be a popular place again soon, but with new social distancing guidelines in place.

Western New York only meets five of the seven New York State criteria for reopening to begin, however, which Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz hopes to accomplish by the start of June.
