Downtown Convention Center Could Be Turned Into ICU For Coronavirus Patients
The COVID-19 pandemic is the number one topic on everyone's minds these days and there's the talk of needing more hospital beds to the growing number of confirmed cases in Western New York.
According to WIVB, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said he's looking at turning the downtown convention center into a massive intensive care unit.
The state recently turned a convention center in Manhattan into a field hospital for COVID-19 patients.
Poloncarz also mention that county officials have looked into hotels and turning them into hospitals.
