Don’t Miss the Last Weekend of ‘BOO-tanical’ Gardens

While many Halloween activities have been canceled this year, kids --and grown-ups-- can still have a spooktacular time at the Botanical Gardens.

WIVB reports this Sunday will be the final day of their annual Boo-tanical Celebration.

What makes visiting the Botanical Gardens fun this time of year, is the addition of all the Halloween decor, including a pumpkin patch.

Kids are encouraged to show up in costume.

Some of the activities that are part of the Boo-tanical Celebration were modified this year to fit in with COVID-19 safety protocols.

“This year, instead of doing arts and crafts on site, we’ve created a great goodie bag for you to take home,” said Amy Raenessa of the Botanical Gardens.

Inside the bags are all the materials needed to make a craft, so that parents and kids can assemble them together at home, instead of using a public shared space.

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens also has their mom show on display through November 1. Masks are also required when you visit the Botanical Gardens.

The Botanical Gardens is a national historic site, and first opened in 1900. Its unique design was based upon the famous Crystal Palace in England. That one was destroyed in 1934, but do you think our Botanical Gardens building looks like another famous Crystal Palace?
