Denver's 9News Anchor Kyle Dyer was conducting an interview with a firefighter who had saved an 85-pound Argentine Mastiff named "Max" from an icey pond. "Max's" owner was also on set for the interview. As Kyle wrapped up the segment, she leaned down to kiss "Max" and was bit in the face.

Warning: The video may be disturbing.

9News reports Kyle has had reconstructive surgery for injuries she sustained from the bite and wants everyone to know she is OK.  The station reports she is concerned about viewers who were watching the incident live on TV.

Max's owner has been cited for several violations, including not having Max vaccinated for rabies.  Max, meanwhile, is being held at the Denver Animal Shelter and observed for any signs of rabies.
