Becoming more and more popular over the last decade, eyelash extensions are according to the New York Post, " a beauty and the beast situation."

Optometrists are reporting an increase in cases involving them and encouraging those who use eyelash extensions to clean them properly to stave off the vermin’s rising ranks, as well as general discomfort.

One reason folks don't clean their extensions is for fear they will fall out, but that is part of the problem.

Symptoms range from redness, itchiness, and inflammation.

So how to clean?

Any cleanser that has a diluted form of tea tree, and it is a good idea to use on a daily basis.

Last word of advice,

"taking a periodic break from extensions, and not overusing them, is vital for ideal eyelid health."
