The body of a woman was found today, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in the Town of Clarence. Troopers with the New York State Police found the body of the deceased female near Spaulding Green Parkway and Goodrich Road in the Town of Clarence.

The body was found in shallow water at approximately 2 pm. Investigators with NYSP are trying to identify the woman. Currently, police don't have any evidence of foul play. NYSP is still investigating and will release more information as it becomes available.

Clarence Woman Missing Since March

A 31-year-old woman, Lindsey Wozniak, has been missing from Clarence since March, according to WIVB. The Erie County Sheriff’s Office describes her as 'endangered'. Wozniak is 5 feet 4inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. Her nose is pierced, she has a tattoo on her left shoulder and one on her forearm that says 'faith'. Although the data is from 2018, it is the most recent available from the New York Department of Health. One thing is clear, although the #5 through # 3 causes of death vary by county, cancer, and heart disease remain consistent as the #2 and #1 causes. While there's no way to see where deaths from COVID-19 would rank officially, you can see that they will probably make the top 5 when the numbers for 2020 and 2021 are finally released.
