Once again we are bracing for a weather event across the area.

On Thursday, a massive storm system is set to move across the region and with it bring strong wind gusts that could cause some issues.

A High Wind Warning has been issued for parts of New York. Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour could cause property damage and even power outages in the affected areas.


If you live in the impacted area, you should make sure that outdoor furniture and garbage cans are secured and that you have a plan if the power goes out.

 

The warning is in place starting at 10 am on Thursday evening and will be in place until 7 am on Friday, meaning that parts of your commute could be impacted by the winds.

 

Before you head to bed on Thursday you should double-check for anything loose in your yard, just in case.
