Costco is once again showing America that they are one of the top employee friendly companies. Oh, don't get me wrong, they'll be open on Black Friday like everyone else, but unlike many stores, they'll be CLOSED on Thanksgiving giving their employees a much deserved holiday.

Costco pays employees on average, $17 an hour. That's 42 percent higher than other shoppers clubs. And Costco's health plan makes those at many other retailers look like Ebenezer Scrooge. Their generous 401K plans and holidays off are just some of the reasons why other retailers are left far behind regarding employee desirability.

Stores like K-Mart and Sears along with Best Buy, want to jump in the early Black Friday shopping game. These stores will open on Thanksgiving Day, but not Costco.

Costco is closed for other holidays too, like Easter and Labor Day.

So if you're out of cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving, just drive right past Costco because they'll be giving their employee's the holidays off.
