Company Offers ‘Fur-ternity Leave’ For New Pet Parents
Anyone who's ever been a pet parent knows that the early days of welcoming a new member into the family are a lot of work.
A company in Minneapolis is offering a new benefit to their employees -- to take a week-long "fur-ternity leave" when adopting a new pet.
The New York Times reports on the Minnesota marketing company Nina Hale, which offers this benefit, noting, "In recent decades, many companies in the United States have overhauled their perks in an effort to retain employees and entice new recruits."
Would you like it if your company offered a "fur-ternity" or "paw-ternity" leave?
