Community Chips-In For Drive Thru Worker: Tell Me Something Good
Sometimes the first person you see in the morning is that Drive-Thru attendant at your local coffee shop and they can end up making or breaking your day.
The CBC tells us about Vishnu, who greets customers at the Tim Hortons drive-thru with positive energy that brightens everyone's day,
"He makes your day," said customer Matthew Shulman. "This guy, he fist-bumps you, he gives you weather reports. Everybody in the community thinks they're special and he only does it with them, but it turns out he's doing it with everybody."
As a result, Shulman organized a GoFundMe campaign called "Vishnu The Tim Horton's Happy Fist Bumper!"
"In a time of such uncertainty, [Vishnu] is and always has been a ray of sunshine! Said the customer who like many others look forward to my morning coffee, fist bump, and huge smile "Vishnu is much more than a guy in a mask working the Tim Hortons drive thru. He is an amazing human being.
The community as a thank you agreed to contribute to, send the Drive-Thru worker back to school.
The campaign which originally had a $10,000 goal, has to date raised over $20,000
'It's amazing how people appreciate the small things that I do,' says Vishnu
Maybe it just a simple thing like starting someone's day with a smile is all it takes…
