The Fall Festival in Ellicottville didn't look the same as always, since the event as we know it was canceled this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some people showed up but there were no tents or usual activities that usually cause thousands to flock to the region over a three-day period.

However, Ellicottville is already looking forward to winter with Holiday Valley, according to WGRZ.

Holiday Valley's marketing director Jane Eshbaugh says they're ahead of the curve for winter plans but have yet to be given guidelines from New York State.

As for Christmas in Ellicottville, the event has a date set on the Ellicottville, NY website for November 27th-29th.

From Santa to horse-drawn carriage rides, this event is something many look forward to every year but as with everything else in 2020, is sure to have a different look and feel for safety reasons.

Even though we're still in fall, I know people are itching for the holidays and looking forward to it. It's unclear exactly what it'll look like this year with the pandemic.

Sounds like the usual events are going on as planned, however.
