Christmas Cards Are Already In Stores In Buffalo, New York

It may feel like summer just ended, but Fall is in full swing and flying by fast. Halloween isn’t even upon us yet, and most of us haven’t even planned our Thanksgiving Day menus yet.

While you’re at the store picking up your last-minute candy for next week’s trick-or-treaters, you’ll more than likely see something that will make you check your calendar.

Yup, holiday greeting cards have already arrived in stores - over two months before Christmas.

If you’re thinking, “Woah! I haven’t even taken down my Halloween decorations yet,” it actually makes more sense than you think.

This year, inflation is driving consumers to shop earlier than ever to look for the best deals to save money. Amazon, Target, and Walmart have already held big Black Friday-esque sales, so it makes sense that greeting card companies are getting their products out early as well.

However, just because you can buy your Christmas cards early to check off your holiday to-do list doesn’t mean you should send them immediately. Postable.com says the general time to mail out holiday cards is between December 1st and December 10th.

If you’re trying to avoid the holiday shopping frenzy this year, you should take advantage of holiday cards arriving on the shelves and stock up now before stores are filled with last-minute shoppers - but be sure to hold onto them and not drop them in the mailbox until early December.
