It’s one of the best places to watch the Buffalo Bills games, other than Highmark Stadium, and it is welcoming the Mafia back for another season.

You may frequently spend your football games in the tailgating parking lots, and that’s fun, but you have to try this other hotspot at least once.

The Bills block parties are returning to Chippewa Street this weekend, just ahead of the start of the regular season.

The block parties started last season and they only happened once a month, but people loved them so much that they have been brought back for the upcoming season.

The first game of the season is on Thursday, Sept. 8 when the Buffalo Bills take on the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams. The game kicks off about a quarter after 8, but the party on Chippewa starts at 5 pm.

What makes the Bills block parties on Chippewa Street so special are the local businesses behind the whole operation, which includes SoHo Buffalo, Rec Room, and a handful of others.

Together, the local businesses team up to offer a unique game-day experience that brings a few thousand people downtown to watch the Bills.

One of the draws to the Chippewa Street block parties are the 15-foot LED video walls where you can watch the game. Another cool thing at these parties is the live DJ that entertains and plays music during the commercial breaks.

Not to mention, there will also be happy hour deals, food specials, and a cornhole tournament.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle to support the 5/14 Survivors Fund.
