Cheektowaga Lululemon Welcome Sign Was Extremely Rude

I mean, what were they thinking? It was a horrible idea and reference and people in Western New York were kind of mad about this welcome sign in Cheektowaga. Unfortunately, it was TILED into the floor. Literally, a mosaic tile, that said this as you walked into the Lululemon store in Cheektowaga and there was THIS...tiled...into the floor.

This is a throwback story that happened nearly 8 years ago, and it is still as mind-boggling now as it was then.

What were they thinking?!

On the floor in front of the store, the mosaic tile entrance read: 'Wide Right, No Goal'. As you can imagine people were TICKED. I mean, I am sure they were trying to be local and connect to Western New Yorkers but, I think it brought up some bad memories. Take a look at this picture below!

Lululemon's response to the 'Wide Right, No Goal' mosaic tiles at the front of the store have been covered up and a new sign in the window is on display. It reads:

We hear you Buffalo. We are Buffalo. We are proud athletes, students, teachers, parents, home owners, business owners, fans!”

We wanted to recognize Buffalo as a proud and passionate sports town. We get that this didn't land well, and we want to make it right. We have covered up the mosaic and are having it removed."

EXTRA: Lululemon is starting something this spring that has really caused some attention--in a good way! They are going to be accepting trade-ins. Lululemon is expensive. It is certainly not cheap, we all know that. The clothing company has said that its stores, including the Lululemon here in Cheektowaga, New York inside of the Galleria Mall, will be accepting TRADES! You can trade in your old, used clothes. You can see a website and buy some of the traded-in clothes as well coming up later this year. Of course, they have to be in good shape. You could work out in them all you want, but they have to be acceptable still.
