It’s a good thing the sheep was rescued over the weekend, because one Cheektowaga community member spotted a coyote on Monday morning in the Cleve Hill area.

Jeff posted a photo to “Our Cheektowaga Community” on Facebook, and he called this coyote sighting the “second time now” that he has seen one this year. The first sighting was near CleveHill High School.

Take a look at the post from Facebook below.

Another community member (by the name of Kim) commented on the post, saying that she “got them [coyotes] over in the Losson Rd. area too” and they apparently “haven’t been a problem for anyone.”

Sue saw at least one coyote close to the Galleria Mall.

If you have small pets, you may want to be careful, as coyotes can be good for the environment by taking care of small rodents, they have been known to target smaller animals, too – including cats and dogs.
