A Buffalo woman was recently socked with a $1300 E-Z Pass bill from using the Grand Island Bridge weekly to attend church.

According to WIVB, Ashanti Brown's $47 toll charges from crossing the bridge every week ballooned up to $1300 because of fees and late charges. Brown did not have an EZ Pass at the time, and the cashless toll bills were being sent to an old address.

WIVB spoke to Brown, who said, "Basically, the only way to get rid of those fees was to get an E-ZPass or write a letter of dismissal or something like that, which I don't really have time for because I work and you know, have little babies, so the only option was to purchase the E-ZPPass and to pay the past due of $47."

Brown now has an EZ Pass.
