It's been talked about since last year when plans were first announced for a huge project. Cashless tolling coming to the NYS Thruway. Now, we're just about ready to begin the transition.

According to Governor Andrew Cuomo in an interview done Thursday, he said that cashless tolling along the New York State Thruway will go live Saturday morning, which would be Friday overnight, into Saturday morning.

Construction has been taking place for the entire year across the state thruway to build the cashless tolls and you probably have seen them driving down the 90 here in Western New York.

After Friday, anyone without an E-ZPass will be mailed a bill to the address their license plate is associated with.

It's right before the holiday season when many people will make a trip to relatives' homes for Thanksgiving.

It's going to be an adjustment. The biggest complaint I hear is people might forget, so make sure you and everyone else you know is aware of the cashless tolling going live this weekend.
