Manager, Rudy Alloy III tells NEWS 4 (WIVB-TV) it’s important for these workers to know they’re appreciated.

“It doesn’t stop with the frontline workers. Its patients in nursing homes, nursing home staff, the police the firefighters. Everybody whos out there every day risking their lives and doing what they have to do, to keep us going.”

It's increasingly important to recognize that despite the hardships and health risks, millions of essential frontline workers did and continue to do their jobs during the pandemic.

These heroes are keeping us fed, picking up trash, providing life-saving medicine, delivering groceries, mail, and packages, preparing food, cleaning hospitals, as well as caring for those who are most vulnerable.

This is not to minimalize what doctors, nurses other front-line workers are doing every day, but to expand our view to those who are providing services sometimes for minimum wage.
