Old Buffalo Metro Rail Station To Transform Into New Waterfront Activity Center

The DL&W Trainshed will become a commercial activity center and a new Metro Rail Station. Phase 1 of the project, which will construct the rail station and extend train service, is almost complete. Phase 2, which will work on the structures and systems of the buildings, will be done in 2024. The third phase will put the finishing touches on the building and ready it to become an activity center.

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority will build a skywalk to connect the activity center to Key Bank Center. Gov. Hochul said,

We're writing Buffalo's comeback story, and it starts with tapping into the unlimited potential of our city, including parks, infrastructure and amenities.
