She's actually running for the Minnesota U.S. Senate candidate and Karin Housley is now under fire. Wife of the Buffalo Sabres head coach, Housley wrote something on Facebook.....9 years ago, that her opponents dug up.

The Facebook post from 2009 was  a reference to the 1951 movie “Bedtime for Bonzo” starring Ronald Reagan: Speaking of Bedtime for Bonzo, I think even that chimp stood up straighter than Michelle. Uh-oh, someone is going to make a comment", according to the Huffington Post.

This is a special election between Housley and her opponent Tina Smith, as the empty seat in the Senate is vacant after Senator Al Franken resigned after alleged misconduct.

Here's what the Housley team had to say:

It’s not surprising Tina Smith’s campaign is using an out-of-context Facebook post from ten years ago to manufacture outrage. This is what the radical left does when they are losing — they attack Republicans so they don’t have to come up with solutions to the problems Minnesotans are facing

And the reaction for Tina Smith's team:

In my opinion, her remarks were reprehensible, indefensible and unpardonable particularly for someone seeking to represent all of the citizens of Minnesota in the United States Senate,” Yusef Mjeni said.
