The 62nd annual Grammy Awards happened on Sunday and one award was given to a Buffalo native!

Amy Schroeder is a violinist -- part of the Attacca Quartet, who won the Grammy for the chamber music/small ensemble performance category, according to WKBW.

Schroeder is a founding member of the Attacca Quartet and grew up right here in Western New York.

According to her bio, Schroeder has played many Buffalo area venues, including "the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Amherst Symphony, the Clarence Symphony, the Hilton Head Symphony, and the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra."

She graduated from Amherst High School in 2002.

How cool is that!? A Buffalo native winning one of the most prestigious music awards out there.
