A Buffalo man will spend time behind bars for a ruthless attack outside of a bar downtown. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced yesterday, December 9, 2021, that the man has been sentenced to 7 years in prison for the incident. The perpetrator, 24-year-old Carlos J. Rosa of Buffalo, received his sentence from Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case. In addition to the 7-year prison stint, Rosa will also be subject to 5 years of post-release supervision.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2020, around 2:30 am., Rosa slashed the victim across the face with a sharp object. The incident happened outside of a bar on Pearl Street in Buffalo. Rosa did not know the victim, who did not know the defendant, was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery for a large slash on his face.

On October 12, 2021, Rosa entered a guilty plea for one count of Assault in the Second Degree. The Judge also issued an order of protection against Rosa on behalf of the victim.

Buffalo Man Who Drove Into Bottoms Up Sentenced to Prison

Even though a face-slashing outside of a bar isn't an everyday day thing, it's not the craziest. Remember when that guy from Buffalo was so pissed off that he couldn't get into Bottoms Up that he drove his car into it? Well, he was sentenced in July 2021, to serve time in prison for his offense. Najeeb Shabazz Jackson, was sentenced to three and a half years behind bars, according to WIVB. On Saturday, August 4, 2019, he intentionally drove his vehicle into the front of Bottoms Up on Chippewa Street. He injured himself (see his pic in the video below) and two other people in the bar.
