5 Surprise Buffalo Bills Players Who Could Be Cut This Week
The Buffalo Bills will need to trim their roster down to the final 53-man roster by 4 pm on Tuesday and that means we would see some surprises when the final roster is announced.

Every NFL team has to be down to the 53-man roster by 4 pm tomorrow afternoon. The Bills will need to decide who to keep, who to release, and who to sign to their practice squad.
When looking at the past three weeks of preseason there could be some surprising names on the list of players released by the Bills.
1. Matt Barkely - It seems with the amount of time that Case Keenum has played in the preseason, he should be the backup to Josh Allen. So will the Bills use a spot for a 3rd QB? We know he can punt and Josh loves having him in the room, but I don't think that a team looking to win a Super Bowl uses a spot on a 3rd string QB.
2. Jamison Crowder - The Bills have shown that they will be using plenty of receivers to spread the ball around in their high-octane offense. But how many are too many? The starting three is set with Diggs, Davis, and McKenzie. Crowder was fighting for the 4th or 5th spot, but rookie Khalil Shakir played well enough to make the team and to make Jake Kumerow and Isaiah Hodgins have played better this preseason than Crowder.
Tommy Sweeney - Again this comes down to a numbers game. The Bills don't use a lot of two tight end sets and if they keep 5 or 6 receivers there might not be enough room to keep three tight ends. The battle for the spot behind Dawson Knox is led slightly by OJ Howard which is why I think Sweeney finds himself on the outs.
Raheen Blackshear - The top three backs are set here in Buffalo. Singletary, Moss, and Cook. Unless Moss gets traded which could happen, Blacksheer is a prime candidate to be on the Bills' practice squad, but he has played well enough, I think another team picks him up if the Bills don't keep him on the 53-man roster.
Siran Neal - A veteran of the Bills, Neal could be a victim of the young players stepping up and playing well. Slotted as the backup nickel corner, Neal has faced still competition from Cam Lewis. Also with rookies Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford playing well enough to make the team, Neal might be the outside man looking for a job at 4:01 pm on Tuesday.
We will keep you up to date with all the latest moves from the Buffalo Bills leading up to the 53-man roster deadline.
