The Buffalo Bills 24-16 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday gives the Bills a 6-2 record at home, their best since 1999, but more importantly it moves them closer to a playoff spot.  There are so many scenarios for the Bills to finally make the playoffs, but the easiest way for the Bills is to win their final two games.  With those games on the road in New England and Miami, that won't be easy.

LeSean McCoy had a historic day for the Bills.  He ran four yards for a touchdown and caught a 16 yard pass from Tyrod Taylor for another score to lead the way.  He ran for only 50 yards, but it put him over the 10-thousand yard mark for his career becoming just the 30th player in NFL history to reach that milestone.

Additionally, McCoy becomes the first player in NFL history with 10-thousand rushing yards, 400 receptions, an average of 4.5 yards per carry and more than 80 touchdowns.

The Bills won this game in the first half building a 21-6 lead and holding off the Dolphins the rest of the way.  With his touchdown pass to LeSean McCoy, Tyrod Taylor becomes the sixth quarterback in Bills history with 50+ touchdown passes.  In addition to his touchdown pass, Taylor also ran 9 yards for another touchdown.  And with the victory Taylor ties Jim Kelly for the 3rd most wins for a Bills quarterback in his first three seasons with the team.

It wasn't all offense for the Bills.  The defense came thru with three interceptions, three sacks and forced four fumbles.  They held the Dolphins to only five 3rd down conversions on 16 attempts.

Shareece Wright's first interception as a Bill and 51-yard return set up Stephen Hauschka's 34-yard field goal in the third quarter to build a 24-6 lead.  Jordan Poyer and Tre'Davious White also intercepted passes.  The one by White came in the final minute after the Dolphins had recovered an on-side kick.

So maybe the Bills can achieve a Christmas miracle by beating the Patriots at home on Christmas eve.  That's the way it seems anyway trying to beat the Patriots anywhere over the past couple of decades.  If they do that they go right back into the fire in a rematch with the Dolphins in Miami.
