The Buffalo Bills, along with the rest of the NFL, are getting ready for the start of NFL free agency and have already made some big moves.

The team released guard Jon Feliciano and linebacker A.J. Klein last week and re-signed wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie on Sunday.

On Monday morning, they released guard/tackle Daryl Williams, which saves the Bills over $6 million towards the salary cap for 2022.

Just minutes after that release happened, the Bills extended their starting center.

According to Mike Garafolo of The NFL Network, the Buffalo Bills have given center Mitch Morse a two-year, $19.5 million extension with $12 million guaranteed.

The move keeps Morse in Buffalo through the 2024 season.

Extensions are popular this time of year because it gives teams more breathing room with the salary cap. Term is added with more guaranteed money, which lowers a cap hit for the upcoming season. This move makes sense for both Morse and the Bills, as Buffalo desperately needed breathing room for the salary cap.

Stefon Diggs and Matt Milano restructures/extensions make sense as well. It would save the Bills even more cap room.

The legal tampering period for NFL free agency starts at noon today and this is when teams can legally talk and negotiate with unrestricted free agents.

The Bills will need help at offensive line, cornerback, defensive tackle and wide receiver in free agency and the NFL Draft.

We will see what general manager Brandon Beane decides to do.
