It looks like the race for the AFC East could be decided in front of a national audience.

The NFL is looking to flex the Buffalo Bills' home game against the Miami Dolphins to Sunday Night Football on NBC.

After this weekend, the Bills hold a one-game advantage over the Dolphins for the lead in the AFC East. The Bills are currently 9-3 while the Dolphins are 8-4. Both teams will play one game before the Week 15 match-up in Buffalo.

The Bills host the Jets on Sunday while the Dolphins are playing on Sunday night on the road against the LA Chargers.

The NFL has until Wednesday to decide which game they are going to flex into that Sunday night game, but it looks like they have already requested satellite time from Buffalo for that Sunday time frame.

If this post is true, it looks like NBC is requesting the use of the satellite which means that game would be the Sunday Night Football game since NBC does not air another other games on the weekend.

The only thing that could work against the Bills/Dolphins game getting flexed is that Miami's game this week was already flexed to Sunday Night.

Would the NFL want to make Miami play two back-to-back weeks on Sunday Night Football? With the AFC East up for grabs, my thoughts are yes they will.
