The nerves are about as high as they have been since late January for Buffalo Bills fans.

The off-season is over and the first regular season game is in two days. The Los Angeles Rams host the Bills for the NFL's Thursday Night Football Kickoff game on NBC.

The Thursday night opener always places the defending Super Bowl champions against a contending team, oftentimes a rematch of a playoff game from the year prior.

The NFL couldn't pass up this matchup when the schedule came out and it could be the most anticipated Thursday Night Football opener in years.

The Bills will not have number one cornerback, Tre'Davious White, who was placed on the reserve/PUP list. That means White will miss the first four games of the season, as he still recovers from his ACL reconstruction surgery towards the end of last year.

However, there was very good news for the Bills on Tuesday morning.

According to head coach Sean McDermott, safety Jordan Poyer, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and defensive tackle Tim Settle are all on track to play in Thursday's game. He made the announcement on WGR radio in Buffalo.

All three were full participants in Monday's practice at One Bills Drive.

Tackle Tommy Doyle and tight end Quintin Morris did not practice on Monday, so we have to wait and see if they can play, but chances are we don't see them on Thursday.

Getting Poyer and McKenzie back is huge.

There was a sense Poyer would be ready in time for week 1, after hyperextending his elbow in training camp but now it's official. As for McKenzie, he has missed quite a few practices with a groin injury but has recovered enough to be on track to play Thursday.
