The Bills traded running back Zack Moss and a conditional 6th round draft pick to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for running back Nyheim Hines.

The move adds a player that fits perfectly in the Bills offense. Hines is an excellent pass catching back who is good at kick/punt returning, plus his veteran status means they will feel comfortable placing him in situations that they may have been uncomfortable putting on James Cook’s plate so early.

The Bills we’re not done though.

Just after 4 pm, the Bills announced that they also traded a 7th round draft pick to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for safety Dean Marlowe.

Marlowe returns to the Bills, who backed up Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer from 2017-2020. He left in free agency back in 2021. He played for the Detroit Lions in 2021 and was with the Falcons until now.

The Bills lost safety Hyde for the season and Poyer’s status for this Sunday is up in the air. Marlowe knows Leslie Frazier’s system and allows the Bills to plug and play a player in a tough position.

The Bills also activated cornerback Tre’Davious White and activated cornerback Xavier Rhodes to the practice squad.

They also released Isaiah Hodgins and Brandon Bryant.

The Bills hope these moves help them get over the hump to win the Super Bowl.
